Zaum is a student-run print and web literary magazine out of the English Department at Sonoma State University, publishing dynamic and innovative works by emerging student writers from across the country and beyond. To submit you must currently be enrolled as a student at any educational institution or have graduated within the year.
Submission must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Submit no more than 7500 words total (6000 or less preferred).
- If submitting flash works, submit no more than three (3).
- If submitting flash works, please ensure each new work begins on its own separate page.
- Include all titles in a single Word document (and put the titles of your flash works, separated by commas, in the title field).
- We accept any and all content so long as it does not purport any homophobia, xenophobia, racism, sexism, transphobia, fatphobia, body shaming, and hatred of any nature.
